Volunteer

Parents are the lifeblood of our pack. Without them, our program would be limited and our Scouts would be missing out on the fun.

It is very easy to become a Trained Leader in our pack. ALL the required training can be taken online - so you can take the training at your own pace.

Steps to Leadership

  1. Talk to a current leader (Cubmaster, Pack trainer, Committee Chair, Den Leader) about your willingness to help
  2. Discuss which role would best fit your talents and comfort level
  3. Complete Council Specific Training
  4. Complete Pack Specific Training

Youth Protection Training

  • Head over to https://my.scouting.org/ and register for a new account or login.
  • At the top left of the screen click "Home"
  • A drop down menu will appear - Select "My Dashboard"
  • Follow the prompts and watch the video.
  • Be sure to print out your council letter and certificate
  • Give a copy to the Committee Chair or Cubmaster

Pack Specific Training (45 minutes)

Becoming a "Trained" Leader

  • Ask your Cubmaster or Committee Chair for your Scout ID
    • a Scout ID is only given by the BSA once an adult partner's application has gone completely through the system, so this will not be instant upon turning in your app.
  • Head back over to https://my.scouting.org/ and login.
  • At the top left of the screen click "Home"
  • A drop down menu will appear - Select "My Dashboard"
  • Below the "My Dashboard" you will see three horizontal lines and "My Training" - Click
  • Select your profile and fill in your Scout ID
  • Head back over to My Training (three horizontal lines)
  • Click on the "Required" tab
  • Take the first "Position Spec" training listed
  • Once completed (with a 24-48 hr processing) you will see the Trained badge appear next to your name.
    • You may now purchase and adhere the badge to your uniform.
