Global Education Assessment tools
Checklist is from the American Forum for Global Education. It is a practical tool that teachers, curriculum developers, school administrators, and state education agency staff can use to gauge their work within the realm of global/international education. This needs assessment would be a great place to start in order for us as a faculty to determine how we are doing at Guilderland Pacific Union School with respect to global education. Completing this assessment as a faculty may help with giving us a starting point for an action plan as to how we can increase our students' global competencies.

Additional Resources:
World Savvy Global Competence Matrix: Introduces a list of the core concepts, attitudes, values & beliefs, and skills that students need to develop in order to become globally competent. This reference sheet would be helpful when planning your lessons to be more global-minded.
Oxfam's Global Citizenship Guides: Oxfam has a great guide to global citizenship for teachers in all subjects, and across all age groups, these guides introduce the key elements of Oxfam's Curriculum for Global Citizenship. These guides are organized by subject-area and grade-range. This would be useful for helping us to create a program where we are building upon global competencies from year to year within each subject area.
