Brently Johnson’s work has been published in various journals such as Ascent, Riverteeth, Gray’s Sporting Journal, North American Review, Midwestern Review, and Yale Anglers’ Journal. He teaches Creative Writing and Literature at Pacific University outside Portland, Oregon.

Jung Hae Chae is the author of the forthcoming memoir-in-essays, POJANGMACHA PEOPLE, winner of the 2022 Graywolf Press Nonfiction Prize. Previously, she won the 2021 Crazyhorse Prize in Nonfiction and the 2019 Emerging Writers Contest in Nonfiction from Ploughshares, and her writing can be found in AGNI, Guernica, New England Review, Ploughshares, swamp pink (formerly Crazyhorse), a 2019 Pushcart Prize in nonfiction, and the Best American Essays 2022. She has received support from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation, Bread Loaf Writers Conference, and Sewanee Writers Conference, among others.

Désirée Zamorano is the author of the highly acclaimed literary novel, The Amado Women, which will be re-released in 2025. An award-winning and Pushcart Prize-nominated short story writer, her work is often an exploration of issues of invisibility, injustice, or inequity. A selection of her writing can be found in Catapult, Cultural Weekly, The Kenyon Review Online, and Akashic’s South Central Noir. “Caperucita Roja” was chosen as a distinguished short story in Best of American Mystery and Suspense, 2022. Her novel Dispossessed is forthcoming from RIZE Press, Fall 2024, while the University of Nevada Press will be publishing her collection of short stories in Spring 2026.

Matt Antis is a Creative Writing major at Pacific University and co-manager of Silk Road Literary Review. He is a U.S. Army veteran, co-founder of Good Good Books Publishing, and author of The Infinite Imagination of Lucas Lazuli. He also writes long-form fantasy, poetry, and short creative nonfiction.
MANAGING EDITOR
Talan Hutto is a fiction writer with an interest in animal realism. He believes in slow, deliberate storytelling with a focus on character-centric plots. He is currently working on a fictional series called Stonebark Tales, a novella in process that depicts the slow emergence of a complex animal society in an alternative earth.
Talan is a Creative Writing Major at Pacific University with a minor in editing and publishing aiming to publish short stories and poems that support his core work. He lives in Forest Grove, Oregon where he enjoys long walks with his girlfriend, Megan, and their two dogs: Ban the husky and Biggie the beagle.
