The annual meetings of the Association for Science Communicators (ASC) happened to coincide with this course, and we took full advantage of the opportunity for professional development. In a semester spanning January 25 - May 5th, the conference took place just after mid-terms, during our spring break. Despite, the overlap with "break," enrolled students agreed to not only attend the conference, but to present at it too! Following, conference preparation and presentation was another skill the group was able to add to their growth-list and flex this semester. Each group created a poster to present their works-in-progress. We made an impression at the poster session, not only as the only Psychological Scientists on the exhibition floor, but also for the quality of our work. Below are all the posters we presented, including a poster about my (Dr. Kleinknecht) approach to teaching PSY-SCI-COMM.
