We are a Women's Division II team open to the 5 Claremont Colleges playing in the SoCal Rugby Football Union and are the 2022 DII National Champions.
Our philosophy is to have some fun and play some rugby, and are always open to new players. There is no experience required!
We practice twice a week with games on Saturdays. Come to a practice to try it out, come to a game to cheer us on!

Welcome to LBSU Women’s Rugby! We are a group of girls looking to have fun and make lifelong friends while playing a great new sport. Rugby is similar to football but very unique in its own way. Constant play with minimum stopping and no bulky pads. We compete in the Pacific Desert Rugby Conference under the CRAA and USA Rugby as well as various tournaments throughout the school year. We are always looking for new players, so there's no experience necessary to join! Come out and give rugby a TRY!

Founded in 2019 to support the mission of SDSU, the AS’s, and the Aztec Recreation program, the SDSU Women's Rugby Club provides a positive and fun environment for all female athletes to be apart of an athletic team. This sport gives women the opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle, while experiencing a new sport in a safe and welcoming environment. Rugby welcomes all levels of experience giving all women an opportunity to get involved in an athletic program on campus. This team shows excellence through hard work, dedication, camaraderie, and passion. We are a community of female athletes working towards a common goal of achieving personal greatness through teamwork and discipline.
In addition to meeting all of the standards of University, this sport becoming a part of the SDSU mission would meet the goals of World Rugby, to grow the global rugby family. We are the 2022 DII PDRC Division Champions, 2022 DII National Semi-Final Champions, and 2022 Runner-up DII National Champions.
