Lord, I feel lost and confused, adrift, uprooted;
As I try to know, seeking a certainty,
it has been magnified in my life,
stealing my perspective.
Waiting, almost wailing, for an answer has become my all in all.
Fear and uncertainty uproot my thoughts,
drawing me into the dark,
And the desire for control has gripped my heart;
Their endless scrolling has deadened and deafened me.
My eyes grow dim with worry, losing sight of your Son.
And yet, you are the one who holds the stars;
By your breath we move and have our being.
You are faithful, patiently walking alongside me.
You are the all in all, the One who holds all creation.
Lord, be with me.
Sit with me and walk with me.
Lift up my eyes and point me to your work
around and within me.
Teach me to surrender, embracing the unknown,
for your love grips my heart
and your goodness surrounds me
May your faithfulness be the deep roots sustaining me;
Who have I in heaven but you?
May my soul know you are in control.
May I be convinced you are carrying out your good will.
May I surrender to your will in this situation.
May you still my soul,
the many voices and vices surrounding me,
that I may hear your still small voice.
May You be my all in all.
