P186X is a NYC public school and The Pedalers are a core group of cycling enthusiasts from the school community that promote cycling's positive effects on the students health, wellbeing, and academic performance. Through cycling we are working toward improving the school culture while encouraging students to fulfill their maximum potential.
We are excited to announce that for the 2016-17 we have partnered with the Specialized Foundation to..." further measure how cycling benefits kids in the classroom.." and to "... increase accessibility to cycling and improve the social, emotional, and physical well-being of children."
If you pedal with us, you can come with us. Students raise their hands to join the Pedalers, a group of dedicated young people utilizing exercise to bring out the best in themselves and each other. They put in the work as they chart positive paths for their own futures.
Life's a journey, not a destination. The Pedalers provides students with the opportunity to practice goal setting and commitment. Through training, they create a vision and enjoy pursuing it together.
Growth is a mindset. In the Pedalers, students have the chance to define success for themselves. The supportive, challenging and fun environment encourages them to fulfill their potential.
