How P186x supports the parents of ells and bilingual students
- As soon as students begin at P186X, parents and guardians are welcomed to our school community.
- P186X educates parents of English Language Learners about the ELL identification process, the variety of educational programs available (Dual Language Program, Transitional Bilingual Education, or Integrated/Standalone ENL), and their right to a re-identification process within 45 days of initial enrollment.
- P186X also takes this opportunity to share with parents, guardians and family members the high expectations that have been established for the education of ELLs.
- Adult education classes are offered (including English for Speakers of Other Languages and Technology) after school hours.
