How P186x supports the parents of ells and bilingual students
As soon as students begin at P186X, parents and guardians are welcomed to our school community.
P186X educates parents of English Language Learners about the ELL identification process, the variety of educational programs available (Dual Language Program, Transitional Bilingual Education, or Integrated/Standalone ENL), and their right to a re-identification process within 45 days of initial enrollment.
P186X also takes this opportunity to share with parents, guardians and family members the high expectations that have been established for the education of ELLs.
Adult education classes are offered (including English for Speakers of Other Languages and Technology) after school hours.
