APRS Mission
At 145.825 MHz, sending APRS queries from the satellite to a specific amateur station with APRS capability, and store the responses.
Camera Missions
SAKURA has two cameras onboard. The first is an Earth Observation Camera (Earth CAM), and the second is a Solar Observation Camera (Sun CAM).
The Earth CAM is designed to capture images of active volcanoes, such as Sakurajima, as well as other areas like the Yellow River, to monitor conditions such as typhoons, volcanic activity, and floods.
The Sun CAM is intended for capturing images of solar flares and sunspots.
The image data is stored in flash memory, and it is divided and transmitted to the ground station by UHF downlink, then received and restored at the ground station.
