Integrated Mathematics 3 is a grade 11 level math course that integrates high school conceptual categories of Number and Quantity, Algebra, Function, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability into a two-semester course. This course is comprised of California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CA CCSSM) selected from the high school conceptual categories, which were written to encompass the scope of content and skills to be addressed throughout grades 9–12 rather than through any single course. The course is designed to prepare students for the natural progression to higher math courses, specifically AP Pre-Calculus AB, AP Calculus AB, Descriptive Statistics, and AP Statistics.
