Head Track & Field Coach/Middle Distance Coach
In 20 seasons guiding the Battling Bishops, Coach Boey has elevated the OWU T&F/XC programs to the very top of the conference, state and region. He's the winningest T&F coach in NCAC history with 32 team titles. His athletes have captured 53 All-American awards, 562 NCAC individual titles, 1,300+ All-Conference awards and broken 178 school records.
Coach Boey's philosophy is to put each athlete into a position to be successful, in a challenging yet supportive environment.
Head Cross Country Coach/Distance Track Coach
2022 marks Coach Carlson's 16th year of collegiate coaching, and his 7th at OWU. A collegiate and lifelong runner, he loves the excitement that comes from achieving personal bests! Throughout his career, he's been blessed with the opportunity to coach alongside some all-time great coaches, helping athletes become individual National Champions, All-Americans, and win team NCAA Championships.
His favorite part of coaching is watching young people do things they never imagined they'd be able to do!
Assistant Track & Field Coach - Throws/Strength Training
Coach Kline, M. S. C.S.C.S. R.S.C.C.*E, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (NSCA-RSCC) with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Miami University. A former Olympic trials participant, he was a two-time D1 NCAA Championship participant and ranked in the top 50 in the U.S. for ten years.
Prior to his time at OWU, Coach Kline spent 20 years at NCAA DIII powerhouse UW-La Crosse as the throws and strength coach. He helped UW-L win 13 NCAA DIII Championships, while mentoring 10 individual National Champions in the throwing events.
He's also served as an Exercise and Sport Science lecturer and author, co-founder of a successful youth T&F club, and training consultant.
These qualities allow Coach Kline to be an excellent coach and mentor for stage 5+ student-athletes!
Jim Green
Assistant Track & Field Coach - Pole Vault
Coach Green comes to Ohio Wesleyan from Granville (OH) High School, where he served as head track & field and assistant cross country coach. He has coached 3 national qualifiers, 2 All-Ohio placers, and 5 state championship qualifiers in the pole vault. Overall, he has had multiple individual state champions and national qualifiers, and his teams have finished third at the state championship meet 3 times and have won 5 league championships.
Reggie Osborne
Assistant Track & Field Coach - Hurdles, Horizontal Jumps
Coach Osborne comes to Ohio Wesleyan after a long and storied career as head track & field coach at Bishop Hartley (OH) High School. Coach Osborne's teams were noted for their character, class and competitiveness, winning multiple state titles.
