 ☘️ MARCH 2026 ☘️

Kindergarten and 1st Grade have been exploring more with beat, rhythm, and their singing voices. One game exploring these is called "Bluebird". Students each have a chance to be the bluebird who flies through the windows. We also added xylophones, an exciting new instrument where students can keep the beat and play in the middle of the circle while the rest of the class sings.

2nd Grade has learned a new Hello Song, called “Gilly Gilly Gilly Good Morning/Afternoon”. We start Music class by standing in a circle with one student starting in the middle. We sing our song and that student picks another student to perform a handshake with, then both of them go into the middle. We keep going until everyone has been invited in. They have been doing a great job working with partners on their handshake and including every student.

3rd and 4th Grade have started their recorder unit! The Third Graders are very excited to play their recorders since it is their first time. Fourth Grade has been reviewing how to hold and play theirs before we start playing songs.
