These terms are an agreement between you and Overload Apps LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the maker of World of Lifting (formerly PR.O). They cover the World of Lifting app, our website and any email or other messages between you and us (together, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Company: Overload Apps LLC, 6254 Wilmington Pike No 1023, Centerville, OH 45459, USA.
Country: United States of America.
Device: a phone, tablet or computer that can connect to the internet.
App: the World of Lifting software, formerly called PR.O.
Service: the App, our website and related services.
Your Content: anything you post or upload, such as posts, photos, comments, workouts and records you share.
You: the person who has registered to use the Service.
The App is free to use. There are no ads and no in-app purchases. If we offer paid features, we'll show the price and terms clearly before you pay, and you won't be charged for anything without agreeing first.
If you subscribed to PR.O in the past, that subscription is billed by Apple or Google, not by us. You can cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds for past charges are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies. Cancelling a subscription doesn't delete your World of Lifting account.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your sign-in details private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
One person per account. Don't impersonate anyone or create accounts to get around a suspension.
You own Your Content. By posting it on the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display and distribute it, and to adapt it for display (for example resizing a photo or showing a post in the feed, on leaderboards or in notifications), only to run and promote the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other members have already shared, and data our hosting provider keeps for up to 7 days for disaster recovery.
Posts, comments, likes, your profile, your lifts and your records are visible to other World of Lifting members. Followers can see your finished workouts. Only post what you're happy for others to see.
You confirm that you have the right to post Your Content, and that it doesn't break these terms or anyone else's rights.
World of Lifting has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to post content, or behave in a way, that:
harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or similar characteristics;
promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm or eating disorders;
is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way;
promotes illegal drugs, or the sale of prescription drugs or performance-enhancing substances;
is spam, a scam, or misleading advertising;
shares someone else's private information or photos without their permission;
infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
tries to hack, overload or disrupt the Service, or to get around our safety features.
We automatically check posts, comments and images for harmful content, and we may stop content from being posted.
Reporting. If you see content or a member that breaks these rules, email us at support@overloadapps.com with the member's name and a description or screenshot of the content. We review every report and act within 24 hours, removing content that breaks these rules and suspending or closing the accounts responsible.
What we can do. We may remove any content, limit features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or the law, with or without notice. We may also report illegal content to the authorities.
World of Lifting is a training log and a source of general fitness information. It isn't medical advice, and it isn't a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist, dietitian or qualified coach.
Talk to a doctor before you start a new training programme, diet or bodyweight goal, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, or are pregnant.
Strength training carries a risk of injury. You train at your own risk. Use good technique, a spotter and safety equipment where appropriate, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath.
Numbers the App calculates, such as one-rep max estimates, progression targets, recovery trends, maintenance calories, goal timelines and bulking or cutting paces, are estimates. They may be wrong for you.
Resting heart rate, HRV and sleep trends are shown for your own interest. They can't diagnose or rule out any condition.
If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, the App reads and writes the data types you allow, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never use that data for advertising, and we never sell it.
We give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to download, install and use the App on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from.
You agree not to:
copy, modify, sell, rent, lease, distribute or commercially exploit the App;
reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where the law allows it;
scrape, mine or collect data from the Service, including other members' data, by automated means;
remove copyright or other proprietary notices.
The App, its design, text, graphics, exercise library, videos, logos and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't give you any right to use our names, logos or trademarks.
If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, email us with: your contact details, a description of the work, where it appears on the Service, a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, a statement that your notice is accurate and that you're the owner or authorised to act for them, and your signature. We'll remove infringing content and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we can use them without paying you or giving you credit.
The Service works with services we don't control, such as Apple, Google, Apple Health and Health Connect, and may link to other websites. We aren't responsible for their content, accuracy or policies, and your use of them is under their terms.
We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Service at any time. We'll try to give notice of major changes, but we don't have to.
These terms apply until you or we end them.
You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account in the App (Home → ☰ menu → Settings → Delete my account). See our data deletion page for what gets deleted and how to ask without the App.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service.
When the agreement ends, your licence to use the App ends too. Sections 5 (for content already shared), 7, 10, 12 and 16 to 21 continue to apply.
You agree to defend and compensate us, and our employees and contractors, for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your breaking these terms or someone else's rights.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that your data will never be lost, or that any result (such as strength or bodyweight changes) will be achieved.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or injury that results from your training. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Because the Service is free, this may be zero. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Please contact us first, and we'll try to resolve the issue informally.
If we can't, any dispute will be settled by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, on an individual basis. This doesn't apply to claims about intellectual property where a party seeks an injunction, or to claims you can bring in small-claims court. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in the EU or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
If you got the App from the Apple App Store:
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the App or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
If the App doesn't conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
Apple isn't responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, or consumer protection claims.
If someone claims the App infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with it.
You confirm that you aren't in a country under a US government embargo or listed as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you aren't on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You must follow any third-party terms that apply to you when using the App.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you.
Changes to these terms: we may update these terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and for important changes we may also let you know in the App. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept them.
Severability: if any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
No waiver: if we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
Entire agreement: these terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
Transfer: we may transfer these terms as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. You can't transfer them without our consent.
