Lisa Truchon

St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School

Graduated 2008

Real Estate Analyst in London, England at Deutsche Bank

At St. Dominic, Lisa was a member of the cross country running and girls soccer teams as well as participating in the school’s inaugural mission trip to Nicaragua. When she graduated she was recognized with valedictorian, spirit, and leadership awards. She also received the Catholic Women’s League and Knights of Columbus awards for her contributions to our Catholic faith.

Following St. Dominic’s, Lisa attended the University of Waterloo where she earned her degree in management engineering and completed work placements in New York City, Toronto and Vancouver, as well as a work term in Kenya. In Kenya she pursued her joy of social justice work, by working with a local school. Since graduation, she has been working in the financial industry in London, England for Deutsche Bank, as a real estate analyst. Despite her travels and work abroad, Lisa continues to foster a strong, supportive relationship with her Muskoka community.

“The educational experience that I enjoyed in a smaller rural school enabled me to focus on what is important in life -relationships. The experience of having a Catholic education is invaluable, because despite my circumstances, I never feel alone – I am confident that I am where God wants me to be, doing what I am meant to be doing. I am grateful for the basic foundation that was modelled for me by my family, and my Catholic school community.”
