The Canadian company, Carbon Engineering, has created a turbine that can filter CO2 out of the air. A propeller sucks air into the filter which cleans the air of CO2 and then the clean air is released out the other side of the filter. The filter is then heated up to 100° celcius which releases the CO2 from the filter, allowing it to travel down a tube to where the CO2 is collected. The carbon dioxide is then mixed with hydrogen creating fuel that can be used as diesel, gasoline, or jet fuel. This new fuel doesn't release any CO2 into the air when it's burned, therefore creating a way to reduce the CO2 in the air while reducing the amount of CO2 released into the air everyday.
Factories ca put filters on smokestacks that will catch the greenhouse gases that they are putting into the air. If factories put filters on there smokestacks it would help the environment greatly.
