The OUSD Wellness Program is excited to collaborate with you this year to create healthy school environments where all students, families and staff can thrive.
This Online Orientation will give you context for the Wellness Champion program and your role as a Wellness Champion. We hope that by sharing this information online now, our time together during in-person trainings can be used for deeper connection and collaboration.
Completion of this online orientation is a required part of the Wellness Champion role. Time spent completing this orientation is considered training hours that are paid for as part of your Wellness Champion stipend.
Wellness Champions will...
In support of OUSD Community Schools and the OUSD Wellness Policy, the Wellness Champion Program supports school site leadership and partnership around health and wellness. This program recruits school site leaders to become OUSD Site Wellness Champions and lead specific health and wellness systems and programs at a school, often in partnership with another Site Wellness Champion. Site Wellness Champions are paid stipends for their wellness work.
Orientation Objective 1: Wellness Champions will know and understand the OUSD Wellness Policy and Administration Regulations.
