Montera Student Council Goals and Objectives

The goals of the student council are to promote school spirit, serve the school community, model good citizenship, impact decisions affecting school issues, and maintain a positive school climate.

What is Student Council?

"Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by adults. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.   • Advocate for school reform

Executive Board (Positions available to 8th grade students only) (Elected by the student body)

  • President

  • Vice President

  • Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Nutrition and Wellness Director

  • Culture and Climate Director

  • Artistic Director

Grade-Level Delegates (Elected by your grade level)

  • 8th Grade Class Delegate and Alternate

  • 7th Grade Class Delegate and Alternate

  • 6th Grade Class Delegate and Alternate

B Day Advisory Delegates (Elected by your advisory class)

  • 1 Advisory Delegate & 1 Alternate Delegate from each advisory class

How do I apply to be on Student Council?

You can get an application from Mx. J in P14, Dr. Emrick in P13, or print the one below. Applications are due to Mx. J by September 15th.
