Each week in the summer, the Boys & Girls Club provides instruction in music, technology (programming, digital art & music, stop motion animation), dance, art, gardening, field trips, cooking, sports/athletics, and more.

Kennedy Summer Day Program is offered 8 weeks in the summer (4 sessions-2 weeks/session).
Open to students entering ages 5-14 (125 max participants.)
Activities include swimming, structured free play, playground and physical activity periods, arts and crafts, STEAM activities, and more!

Round the Bend (RTB) Farm ✅ (Mini-grant; families and OSS share fees)

Round the Bend Farm is offering a week-long Farm Camp that will take place on its beautiful, working farm in South Dartmouth, MA. Campers will participate in and learn about the farm systems, methods, and tools RTB uses to tend to their gardens and care for farm animals.
RTB’s educational programming operates on a sliding scale to make on-farm experiences as accessible as possible.

Financial aid – Tabor distributes camp session scholarships directly to organizations in order to provide support to children in financial need. They do not award scholarships to individuals directly.
The following is a complete list of sessions Tabor Academy offers and families may sign up for any of these weeks. However, OSS has been awarded a limited number of scholarship spots for Week 1 and Week 6, available to students in grades 5-7.

Summer Youth Sailing (ages 7-17)
This program is for students who are both new to sailing and those who have a few summers of sailing experience. The goals are to have fun on the water and to learn and/or build upon the basics of sailing. Students have the opportunity to sail with an instructor and small group or to sail in their own boat with an instructor-driven safety boat alongside.

Sea Lab

Application deadline: May 4 (applications are available on the website in in English, Spanish, and Portuguese). Some scholarships are also available – see website for details and application.
Sea Lab is an educational program serving New Bedford students in grades 4–9 interested in studying marine and aquatic environments. In addition to classroom exercises, students participate in field studies conducted along the Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastlines. Practical outdoor skills, such as swimming, sailing, and snorkeling are also an integral part of the summer Sea Lab experience.
