Our journey will lead us southward, ascending to higher altitudes, as we venture into the puna region and become enchanted by its distinctive vegetation, wildlife, lagoons, and salt flats. Notably, the striking Miscanti Lagoon, the largest in the Antofagasta region, captures our attention.
Throughout this immersive experience, we'll explore the village of Socaire, where the indigenous community upholds a significant part of the traditional Atacameño way of life. Welcomed into the home of a representative from a family of weavers, we'll gain insights into how they've preserved this age-old craft, including the intricate art of weaving using llama, alpaca, and sheep wool.
