Ms Hatrick, Mrs Briggs and Mr Petrac visit the school for an hour per week and teach violin and woodwind and Strings (cello/double bass) to small groups of pupils from P.5, P.6 or P.7.
Mrs Amy Nolan is our link Educational Psychologist. In addition, at any given time Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists may visit the school to work with individual pupils. Schools can make referrals to the Central Support Service (CSS) to seek specialist help with those children identified as having additional support needs and requiring targeted support, this is supported through the Staged Intervention process.

Additional Staff Information
Each session the number of teachers in the school is adjusted according to the size of the school roll. With a roll of 356 the staffing is 19.17 full time equivalent members of staff of whom Mrs Maureen McHugh is the Head Teacher.
The first Depute Head Teacher is Mrs Michelle Lang and she has pastoral care responsibility for P.1-4. She has the whole school responsibility for Literacy. Mrs Lang is also the Pupil Support Coordinator for the school and as part of this remit, manages our learning assistants and organises timetables and health care plans.
At present, our Acting Depute Headteacher is Mrs Cheryl MacPherson who joined our school community in November 2023. Her remit mainly consists of pastoral care for P.5-7, curriculum development in Numeracy & Mathematics and Religious Education, along with Learning and Teaching throughout the school.
Mrs Lucy Smith is currenlty Acting Principal Teacher. She has responsibility for transition from early years to P1, transition from Primary to Secondary, Play Pedagogy, Languages 1 +2 and student teacher mentor.
Class teachers have 22.5 hours class contact per week. During their teacher’s non-class contact time pupils are taught by one of the following members of staff: Mrs Ros de Voogd, Mrs Lang and Mrs MacPherson.
