We wish you a very warm welcome to St. Michael's Primary School. Our school motto is "We Shall Serve" and we are very much committed to serving the whole community of St. Michael's Primary. We aspire to be an excellent Christ-centred community of learning through creating a safe, nurturing environment which sets high expectations for all.
St. Michael’s is a Roman Catholic, co-educational school and can accommodate up to 396 children from Primary 1 to Primary 7. Parents should note that the working capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which classes are organised.
In St. Michael’s, all children should be actively involved in their learning to help them achieve their full potential and become resilient, confident individuals who have developed skills for learning, for life and for work which will enable them to have a meaningful role in society.
We consider ourselves to be an open school in that we aim to be available for parents/carers and are able to meet with parents requests for appointments and meeting times. We try hard to do so even at very short notice and, when this is not possible, we make arrangements to meet with parents as soon as possible.
Teachers always make themselves available to speak to parents at the end of the school day when all children have safely been placed in their parent or guardian’s care.
Opportunities are given regularly through the termly newsletter and occasionally with other forms of communication to comment on school routines and practices and to offer suggestions with regard to the curriculum.
