Our school is currently working towards achieving our level one award. We are developing pupils' awareness and understanding of the Rights of the Child as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. By promoting a Rights Respecting ethos within Gavinburn, we are helping children to formulate, express and listen to opinions, enabling them to become confident individuals and responsible citizens.
All of our children have been involved in creating a class charter. These outline specific rights selected by the children which they have made pledges to support and uphold.
The Pupil Voice group and the Rights Respectors, worked together to create a lunch hall charter to ensure rights are being respected in all areas of the school.
