As part of their studies at National level, pupils will continue to develop their skills in Reading, Listening, Talking and Writing, while covering the broad contexts of Society, Culture, Learning and Employability. See more topic information below.
Pupils will complete assessments appropriate to the level at which they are working. National 3 and 4 qualifications are internally assessed and externally verified by the SQA. There is no final exam at National 3 and 4 level.
National 5 is externally assessed for Reading, Listening and Writing in the final exam. There is also a Writing Assignment and a Talking Performance that is internally assessed and externally verified by the SQA. Please see information booklet below for further details.
