Our City received a reimbursement grant for the next 3 years to host 5 EcoAdventure Days at our local County Parks. The free community program aims to connect East San Jose residents with local waterways and highlight the benefits of clean, safe water for the environment. Each Eco Adventure Day will include a BioBlitz walk to see native plants/animals, a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) activity, and a recreational activity such as boating, fishing, or a camping lesson.
The 5 parks we will visit are: Vasona, Lake Cunningham, Hellyer, Alum Rock, and Sanborn parks.
This program is made possible by a generous reimbursement grant from the Santa Clara Valley Water District.
