ŌC Student Exemplars - Read these and use the assessment criteria to give them a grade. There is one Achieved essay, two Merit essays and one Excellence essay - figure out which is which.
Planning signoff - before you get stuck in, get your theme, connections and texts okayed by your teacher.
As well as the links above, the documents you need to complete have all been shared with you in your English folder in Drive.
What to do:
Before you start: read the task outline and exemplars, especially the ŌC Student Exemplars.
Complete the Planning Signoff: Decide on your over-arching theme, choose your four texts and draft what you think might be your two connections.
Complete Resource A: fill in the sections relevant to your texts and ideas as you view/read the texts. Review your two connections and refine them if necessary.
Complete Resource B: fill in everything - at least two quotations/examples for each connection for each text (i.e. at least 16 examples)
Complete the Report Template: Draft your Connections report. Re-read a couple of the ŌC exemplars before you start writing.
Hand in your Final Report: Hand your report in for assessment via Google Classroom.
Connections is a four-week unit (class and homework time).Hand your assessment in on Google Classroom by Friday 14 August.

Please share your Planning Signoff with me if you have not already done so.
You should be into viewing/reading your texts now.
You should be writing notes in Resource A for the aspects you are looking at, and recording key quotes and examples in Resource B.
You should aim to finish your notes by the end of the week so that you are on track to complete your report by the end of next week.
