Smart Learner: using google sheets to organise and present information in my learning.
Learning Intention: to learn how I can find information to organise and present my learning. We will work through the following together.
Learn
- Let's learn what a basic tally chart is by asking our class about their favourite ice cream out of 4 flavours through to using data in a chart.
Create
- Go to your google drive and then to your maths folder.
- Create a new 'Sheet' and name it Favourite Ice cream. Ask Room 15 about their favourite flavour out of chocolate, cookies and cream, strawberry and ?? Tally our results as we go.
Insert/create a chart from our findings.
- Share
- Take a screen shot of your chart to share on your blog along with a short description of your chart.

Quality Blog Posts
Learning Intention: to draft and then publish quality blog posts that share my experiences.
a. Using google docs and tables within.
b. Using guide in slides to structure personal writing about a special event in my life.

- Share our learning of Fijian numbers up to 20 on our blog. Write about what you notice of the numbers names and sounds.

Kia orana - it's Cook Island Language week!

An 'ei katu is a garland of flowers you wear on/around your head, also known as flower crown or head garland. The word 'ei in Cook Island Maori is something that you create to be worn around your head, neck or hips using shells, flowers or leaves. 'Katu' in Cook Island Maori means head, skull or scalp.

Monster Mate
A bit of fun to end the term!
Learning Intention: to become more confident drawing images using Google Draw.
Smart Learners
Instructions
Go to your Cybersmart Folder and create a new Google drawing. Name it 'Monster Mate'.
Change Canvas Size to 1080 px by 800 px.
Using the poly-line and curve line tools, as well as some auto-shapes create your monster.
Don't worry about background images, just focus on the details of your monster.

Create: create a poster that has three photos of you in your classroom and a graphic you make. (This will be shared on your class blog)

Once we find our profile doc like the one shown here, we will create an image to go with our profile. We will draw a picture to show all or some of our favourite things at school.

Learn: Keyboard shortcuts and google draw basics. This lesson is to help embed learning of shortcuts and use our keyboards and trackpad efficiently.
Create: 1. work through these slides to identify and practise the use of keyboard shortcuts.
Share: write about what new things you have been learned today through the create activity. Your teacher will select 2 - 3 recounts from today to publish on our class blog.
