Homework

Just about every night students will have math homework.

Students should be bringing home their "problem set," from the lesson learned that day.

Work needs to be shown, not just give an answer. This way if a student gets stuck, I can track where things started to break down.

If students do not finish spelling work during the day, then that also becomes homework.

I give time to complete social studies, science and writing assignments during class time. Again, if they fall behind and do not manage their time wisely, then this too will become homework.

Students will write in their writers notebook two times a week for ten minutes at home.

Students should read 20 minutes a night. Before bed time is a great way to wind down from a busy day.

If work is owed, then students will complete assignments during free time.
