Reading Quizzes

Purpose: Quizzes are a helpful way to find out how well you are learning the material. They also are an easy way to help you practice applying what you have learned through the readings.

Task: You will complete a chapter quiz in Brightspace based on your assigned reading(s). Each quiz will contain 5 questions. Quizzes will open one week prior to the due date and can be taken at any time during the week and are not timed. In other words, you can start a quiz and come back later (but be sure you submit your work when you do finish). The format for each quiz will be multiple choice, true/false, and/or matching. There will be 11 quizzes over the course of the semester, and your lowest score will be dropped.

Criteria for Success: If you have completed the reading(s) ahead of starting the assignment, the quiz should be relatively easy. You are welcome to use your textbook and any notes you take during your reading, but you may not work with anyone else on the quiz. Once you submit your quiz, you will receive immediate feedback including your grade and what questions you got correct and incorrect, as well as where to find the correct answers if you got the question wrong.

Quizzes are due at the start of class on the date assigned.
