Exams

Purpose: Exams are a helpful way to find out how well you are learning the material. They also are an great way to help you practice applying what you have learned through the readings.

Task: You will have a midterm (Week 7) and a final (Week 16). Each exam will be taken right in your Brightspace course shell. Each will include multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank, and/or matching questions. You will have 80 minutes to complete your midterm exam and 2 hours to complete your final exam - the test is timed, so you must complete it in a single sitting as the clock does not stop once you begin. Your midterm exam will cover the material in the first half of the course and your final exam (non-cumulative) will cover any material from after the midterm forward.

Criteria for Success: If you have completed the readings ahead of starting the exam, the exam should be relatively easy. You are welcome to use your textbook and any notes you take during your reading, but you may not work with anyone else on the exams. Although you will be able to see your exam score once you submit, you will not be able to review your exam to see what questions you got correct and incorrect until the exam period closes.

Your midterm exam is scheduled for Thursday, October 6, 2022 during our regularly scheduled class time. Your final exam is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 8 am - 10 am. Both exams will be taken online in Brightspace.
