In Stem 2, I remember making a Rube Goldberg Machine. I made a mission statement for what I needed to do, and then got to work with my partner. Being two years ago, the assignment seems a bit fuzzy, but I distinctly remember enjoying the creativity and loose requirements tied into each other. It's also so interesting to see my work two years ago compared to now. Making a 3D model to express exactly what would happen blew me away, because it was one of my first times doing something like that. Those kinds of projects are alluring to me and also teach me things that I either had no idea how to do, or just needed practice with.
Last year I was challenged to design a robot with my friends. The concept is a machine that picks up your trash and compacts it. Due to covid, we didn't actually get to build it, but the design turned out pretty well, and the experience was a lot of fun. I enjoy doing projects that are hands on like this. There is also a competitive aspect which I always like.
