DISTRICT LEVEL EVENTS

• Submit the District Language Services Request Form for meetings and workshops that parents and guardians are invited to.

• If evening meetings are hybrid or longer than 1.5 hours, plan to have an additional interpreter. The District Translator Interpreter II can coordinate this.

DISTRICT LEVEL DOCUMENTS

• Submit the District Language Services Request Form for documents meant to provide important information to parents and guardians.

• For messages to families to be sent through the Communications Dept.: you don't need to use the request form.

SITE LEVEL

For General Education and Special Education, site-specific meetings (see "Our Services"), English/Spanish:

1. Request services from your School Community Advisor (SCA) using the site-specific form. (SCA can provide the link if needed.)

2. If the SCA is not available, it is best to reschedule.

3. If unable to accommodate the request, request the district interpreter: District Language Services Request Form.

SITE LEVEL

• For General Education, English/Spanish: Request services from your School Community Advisor (SCA) using the site-specific form. (Ask SCA for the link if you need it.)

• For Special Education documents such as IEPs: Contact OUSD Special Education

For General Education: Request for Translation or Interpretation for other languages

For Special Education: Please contact the Special Education Department (Monika Conniff) with your request. You must complete a form with the information regarding the scheduled meeting two weeks in advance.
