FAQ:

How many library books can be checked out?

Students can check out up to 3 library books.

When can students check out books?

During a class visit or at lunch time.  **Lunch time visits: Read, check-out a book or play a board game, no device usage for any reason.

How do I find out when my book is due?

The due date is written inside the book or visit your Destiny Discover account, go to My Stuff and see all library and textbooks that you have checked out.

What kind of books does the library have?

There are over 15 genres/categories of books!

•  A few fiction genres: Animals, Action/Adventure, Dystopian, Humor, Horror, Mystery/Suspense and MORE!!

•  Some non-fiction categories: Cars, Gamer, Military, Basketball, Baseball, Football, Soccer, and MORE!!

PLUS : Graphic novels, Manga, Graphic Non-fiction!!

Are there ebooks and e-audiobooks?

Yes!  Follow these steps to learn how!  Students can check-out ebooks/audiobooks using MackinVIA through their Classlink Portal. Digital titles automatically return on their due dates so no worries about overdues!

OUSD students and the Oceanside Public Library

OUSD students can check out materials from the Oceanside Public Library simply by using their school ID number!!  As long the student knows their school ID number they can check out books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, e-books and more from any Oceanside Public Library!  Plus, there are no overdue fines for ages 0-17 years old!   

School ID Number = Library Card Number      PIN: 1234 

Use the Libby App or Hoopla App to check-out e-books and audiobooks from the Oceanside Public Library.  View the flyers below to learn how to download the apps and set-up your account!
