My Story...

I was born and raised in Prairie City, a small and beautiful town located in rural Eastern Oregon. My dad was a teacher, so I lived and breathed school. It was my dream to follow in his footsteps. In 2007, my family relocated to Adrian, Oregon and settled into the community there. I graduated from Adrian High School in 2009 and moved to Salem, Oregon to pursue a degree in elementary education.

In May 2013, I graduated summa cume laude from Corban University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education, a minor in Biblical studies, and an endorsement in English as a second language. Not long after, I was hired by the Ontario School District. I moved back to Eastern Oregon and began teaching second grade at Pioneer Elementary in August 2013. Surrounded by a team of encouraging and passionate teachers and administrators, my adventure in education began. In the fall of 2016, I took an in-district transfer position in second grade at Alameda Elementary. Here, I had the privilege of working alongside my teaching mentor and a team of dedicated educators. I continued to learn and grow in my practice, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience at a second Ontario School District elementary school.

On December 29, 2018, I married my best friend, Leon. We bought a house in Ontario and a few months later I received my Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Not long after, I was hired as the technology coach for the Ontario School District. The COVID-19 Pandemic served as quite an initiation into this role, to say the least!

Our family has grown a bit over the past few years, and we love the energy and laughter these two goofballs bring to it. Declan and Caleb are two of the sweetest, silliest, and downright amazing humans to walk the planet.

As a tech coach, I'm on a learning journey. I love visiting classrooms, meeting students and working with teachers as they try new (and often intimidating) strategies and tools. Regardless of your past experience with technology, I'm excited to be part of this journey with you. Please feel free to contact me about anything-- questions, concerns, feedback, stories, ideas, or anything else you may think of. We aren't meant to walk through life alone; this adventure was designed to be shared!

Best wishes,

McKenzie Fuller
