ASL 1

BEGINNNG ASL

ASL 1 uses Master ASL! text book and related materials, focusing on Units 1-5. Additional materials are included to supplement the curriculum. Students will learn about Deaf Culture, ASL grammar, and ASL vocabulary and phrases in the following topics: Introductions, Greetings and Farewells, Facial Expressions, Family, School, Days and Holidays, Numbers, Daily Routine, Cities and States, Addresses, and more.

  • ASL 101- First Semester

  • ASL 102- Second Semester

ASL 2

INTERMEDIATE ASL

  • ASL 2 uses Master ASL! text book and related materials, focusing on Units 6-10. Additional materials are included to supplement the curriculum. Students will learn about Deaf Culture, ASL grammar, and ASL vocabulary and phrases in the following topics: Sports and Activities, Describing People, Classifiers, Personal Hygiene, Community, Money, Animals, and Spatial Visualization.

ASL 3

ADVANCED ASL

Advanced ASL uses Signing Naturally books 2 and 3 and/or other supplemental resources. Additional materials are included to supplement the curriculum. Students will focus on the expressive format of ASL by presenting on a variety of topics and in a variety of styles. Examples may include a descriptive presentation on Deaf space, a compare and contrast presentation on Deaf schools vs mainstream schools, etc. ASL 301 focuses on academic style presentations. ASL 302 focuses on ASL storytelling and literature.

ASL 4

ADVANCED ASL 2
