My name is Melanie Ellison and I am excited to be your child’s Special Education Teacher this year!

Let me tell you little bit about me. I have lived in the St Croix Valley nearly my whole life. I am very excited to be transitioning to the elementary school and working with 1st and 2nd graders this year. When my children were younger, I spent many hours volunteering in their classrooms, reading with the students, and I loved every minute of it! I have 6 children, 2 grandkids and three dogs. My oldest three boys are grown up and moved out, so I only have three left at home. My girls are 16 and 13, and my youngest son turned 11 this summer.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy hiking with my family, camping, and going to Valleyfair. I also love reading, playing guitar and singing, and I hope to pass this love of books on to my students!
