Child Development Days

  • KNOW YOUR CHILD’S DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONES
Screening all young children ages 3-5 years before entering school helps to ensure every child is getting the support he or she needs to be ready for learning.
Osceola School District Child Development Days will be held every year. Specific information will be advertised in the community and through school district resources.
The screening will provide you and the Osceola School District with important information and identify children who may benefit from school district and/or community resources.
At the child’s screening, trained staff will check:

    • Vision

    • Hearing

    • Speech and Language Skills

    • Social and Emotional Development

    • Early Learning Concepts

    • Large and Small Muscle Movement

  • What will you and your child go home with?

    • Knowledge of your child’s development

    • Community Resources

    • Healthy snacks and other free items are provided by community businesses.

  • Does my child need a developmental screening?
We strongly encourage all families to get their children ages 3-4 who are not in 4K screened to assess if they are meeting developmental milestones. The screening provides you with important information on your child’s growth, development, and learning targets.
