During the first week of "Why Wait", a project-based class to encourage students to solve a wicked problem around the world and/or in our community, we talked about our passions and interests. Our project stemmed from the shared passion of being outside and moving around during the school day. We came up with the idea of renovating the courtyard after realizing neither of us had used it much in high school; this would increase movement and time outside when the weather is nice. But we had to come up with an idea to increase movement during the winter when we can't be outside; to solve this we are going to add different seating options in classrooms. We would also like to encourage teachers to get their students moving.
