Enviro

Kia ora, we are Kauri Class at Oruaiti School. Everyday we try to enhance our local community.

We are trying to reduce our carbon footprint as much as we can!

Our School is amazing because we are a Silver Enviro School.

We have been trying to bring back Elwyn Richardson’s legacy by creating wonderful tea towels based on Elwyn Richardson’s ‘In the Early World Art.’ We are screen printing our designs onto 190 blank tea towels. Elwyn Richardson was famous for his integrated curriculum at Oruaiti School in the 1950’s to 1960’s.

We have recently started making beeswax wraps, kawakawa balm, an enviro book about saving the forest, kawakawa tea, and last but not least 5+ manuka honey.

If you would be interested in purchasing any of these items please come directly to Kauri class.

Thanks for visiting!
