Writing

Term 4 - Descriptive writing, report writing, poetry recietal and novel studies!

This term we will be completing a number of novel studies individually and in small groups on a range of chosen novels. We will have opportunities each week to recite poems we have found and enjoyed with our classmates. We will also be learning more about how to effectivly make our writing more descriptive and engaging.

Term 3 - We are focusing on persuasive speeches and narrative writing.

Students will write and perform a persuasive speech on one of the topics below, focusing on creating persuasive content and the elements of effective delivery.

Students will then work through elements of writing an effective narrative story, such as world building, character development, and creating a story arc. We will use a variety of prompts and inspiration 'to work through various themes at different points of the narrative writing process.
