...studies led Dr. Mehrabian to devise a formula to describe how the mind determines meaning. He concluded that the interpretation of a message is 7 percent verbal, 38 percent vocal and 55 percent visual. The conclusion was that 93 percent of communication is “nonverbal” in nature.
Term 3 - this term we have our school Pet Day. This allows us to showcase not only our pets, but our artistic learning around our visual arts. Each student will create 4 unique pieces of art to be displayed and judged by guest judges for our pet day. This year, Nikau class will create chicken pop art, window collage scenes, watercolour mixed medium farm animals, and modelling clay pot plants with bugs on them. We have been very fourtunate to have THREE students in our class be recognised in this years coffee club cup competition. Norah and Ruby recieved awards for being highly commended, and Amirias beautiful artwork recieved first place, meaning her artwork will now be on the takeaway cups in the coffe club cafes accross NZ come christmas time. Congratulations ladies!!
