The PioBytes are actively seeking opportunities to engage in our broader community. As we develop our long-term outreach focus, we are hosting and participating in district and community events.

The Piobytes hosted the Sandy High, Boring Middle, and Cedar Ridge school FTC teams for competition in a local tournament.
On Wednesday, November 19th, Sandy Grade Elementary hosted for the third annual STEM night! Our SHS PioBytes attended with four small robots, PETE the robot dog, and the swerve drivetrain. Several Sandy High school students from our robotics program showed up to help run the stations. Our students set up racecourses for the kids to race the small bots against each other. Seeing the young students learn about STEM and gain an interest in engineering opportunities was truly a wonderful experience.
PioBytes partnered with Rock Haven Climbing Gym to fundraise for the 2026 season, introduce team members to a new activity, and strengthen bonds within our team!
