Introducing the #Oresome Learning Coaches in LH6

Hi!

My name is Megan Croll and I'm excited to be working alongside a team of #oresome learning coaches in LH6. I'm a 5th generation 'kiwi' and very proud to call New Zealand 'home'. I spent my childhood in South Auckland, travelled around the world, then eventually ended up in the beautiful coastal community of Beachlands. I have two amazing daughters, a patient husband and fur/feather babies - Mrs Smith (the cat) and Betty Poop (the chook). 2018 is my third year as a learning coach at OrmPS and I'm eager to continue exploring innovative ways to help our learners develop their capabilities, stretch their imaginations, challenge their thinking and prepare them for whatever the future may bring!

Kia Ora, Salam, Namaste, Bonjour, Hi there and Howdy!!!

I am AnIta Gokal and am very excited to join Ormiston community as a Learning coach for Habitat 6. I bring with me a vast teaching background and a rich learning experience having taught and lived in three different continents; South Asia, North America and calling Australasia as home! I grew up in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, immigrated to the U.S.A, chose teaching as my pathway to enjoy life and finally settled here in the beautiful land of heaven on Earth; New Zealand! “Learning” to me is a life long process and is found in small and simple experiences of life. Here, at Ormiston each day opens up a mystery box for our learners to explore and unfold their potential. I enjoy those moments with them and look forward to new discoveries each day! Outside of my school life, I am an active member of my community. I love engaging in social work and making connections with people around whom we live. Diversity is a strength for me and must be respected by all. I envision to see our world to be a better place for our generations to live and thrive, by contributing our wee bit towards world peace.

My name is Nalini Narayan, a Learning Coach at LH6. This is my first year at Ormiston Primary and it is an honour for me to serve the community I live in. I have 20 years of experience in the education sector, mainly in secondary and intermediate schools.

Born and raised in Fiji, I moved to New Zealand in 2006 with my husband and a daughter, who now is 14 years old. I am passionate and excited about the school year ahead and looking forward to building a strong genuine relationship with the Ormiston whanau. Be assured that we have the best interest for your child and will gladly share with you the growths and developments throughout the year.
