If all the Christian Denominations use the Bible as the basis, how can we know which group or groups are telling the truth?
While most denominations claim to use the Bible alone as the basis of their beliefs, many do not want to follow what it says. The Bible has 10 Commandments, and most churches follow 8 or 9 of them. God's people who obey Him will follow all 10 commandments.
The commandment that people want to forget (or do away with) is the one that starts with the word "Remember". This commandment tells us that the Seventh-day Sabbath is God's special day.
The other identifying feature of God's people who obey Him, is that they will have the faith of Jesus.
As you go through the list of churches that teach the truth about Jesus and keep His Commandments, you can immediately dismiss the Sunday churches, because they follow the Papal power by honoring Sunday as the so called "Lord's day".
The number of Sabbath keeping churches that follow Jesus is now reduced down to a few to explore, which is much easier for the seeker of truth.
A further identifying mark is that they have the "Spirit of Prophecy". They acknowledge a prophet and have a good understanding of Biblical prophetic events.
There are a few verses that are largely ignored by the majority of churches looking at prophetic end time events. In Jeremiah, it speaks of the earth being formless and void, dark (just like in Genesis before creation), but with all the cities broken down. Nearly all prophecy experts ignore this because it has no room in their eschatological sequence, the reason being that they have the millennial (1000 yr) reign of Christ on the earth.
