6th Grade Homework Policy
Teachers assign a due date for the assignment. Unless told otherwise, when homework is assigned, it is expected to be completed and ready to be turned in at the beginning of class on the due date. If it is not, it is considered late.
If the assignment is not submitted by the due date, a zero will be entered into Teacherease, and marked missing, until the assignment is complete.
Students will have two additional school days to submit it for a maximum score of 80%.
If the assignment is still not submitted after those two days, students will have an additional two school days to submit it for a maximum score of 50%.
If the assignment is not submitted by the end of that period, a zero will be entered into the gradebook and the missing indicator will be removed.
Each student will be given one late assignment per quarter in which they will not be penalized.
Late homework will not be accepted after the unit test is taken.
