6th Grade Homework Policy
When homework is assigned, it is expected to be completed and ready to be turned in at the beginning of class on the due date. If it is not, it is considered late.
Zeroes will be entered in Teacherease until the assignment is complete.
The late assignment will be given a grade and for every day the assignment is late there will be a 10% reduction. For example, if an assignment is two days late and he/she earned 94% when graded, they will receive 80% of 94% which would be 75%.
After 5 days late, he/she will receive half credit of the grade they earn on the assignment with a maximum score of 50%.
If you have completed an assignment as late or makeup work, you must fill out a 'Past Due Work Submission Form' when you turn in the assignment. This is for paper assignments AND google classroom assignments. This form tells your teacher that you have an assignment that needs to be graded. Otherwise, it does not get graded.
Each student will be given one late assignment per quarter, per teacher in which they will not be penalized.
