We have made a good amount of progress with this project. Unfortunately due to the mass quarantine, we were not able to complete all of the functionality, but we were able to meet 7 of the 12 engineering requirements and made good progress on the 5 not demonstrated.
The mechanical designs and hardware are completed and functional, thought there are a few refinements that could be made, see our next steps document for more detail. On the camera functionality side, we are able to take images, and convert the jpeg photos into raw RGB values. A modified version of the Canny edge detection algorithm has been completed, but it hasn't been implemented in the system. Similarly our Time of Flight sensor data filter is working but not yet integrated with the system, though we plan on finishing up the time of flight integration by the end of the term.
We are happy with the progress that has been made on this project, but the actual system integration is slow moving because of the pandemic. Most of the core functionality is all there, but not integrated into the system.
