Standards, Requirements, Timeline Drafts: First drafts of our Engineering/Customer Requirements, our team standards, and project timeline.
Startup Packet: Includes a brief interview with the client, creation of a team Google Drive folder, team protocols, creation of a Google Site, writing of an opening letter to the client, and creating a ReadMe file for the client to access.
Scope and Requirements Meeting: Meeting with the course instructor to review the scope of the project and Engineering/Customer requirements.
Block Diagram Draft: Create a big “black box” box diagram, begin interface definitions with as much detail as possible, create a top-level block diagram, and create properties that define the interfaces
Block Diagram Meeting: Bring copies of our draft for review with the course instructor and other groups.
Final Engineering Requirements: Review and adjust the Engineering Requirements with feedback from the previous meeting in mind. Gain final approval from our client of the Engineering Requirements.
Research Paper Draft: Perform research on chosen areas of focus for the final project. Include citations and links to data sheets, justify design decisions based on research, identify limitations of design decisions. Review to come in the following terms.
Final Block Diagram: Review and adjust the Block Diagram with feedback from the previous meeting in mind. Gain final approval from TA. Multiple submissions may be performed for a potential increase in grade.
Power Budget: Analyze the power requirements for the system. Submit a spreadsheet or other such document that shows the power requirements with mathematical evidence to back conclusions.
