Blade Extending Apogee Variance System, fondly known as "BEAVS," is the new system that is implemented into the rocket this year. This system calculates a predicting apogee with the speed at which the rocket is flying, the current altitude, and pressure, and either extends or retracts some fins in the back, or aft, section of the rocket to either add drag to slow it down, or decrease drag to speed it up, with a goal of honing in on our declared altitude.
