The field of psychology aims to study the brain and its implications on behavior. There are many different subdivisions of psychology such as: clinical psychology, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, and forensic psychology [9]. Psychologists often work with psychiatrists and other kinds of medical doctors, to get the full picture about a patient, and correctly diagnose and treat them. Social workers can also play a heavy role when finding solutions for clients. Psychology contributes to society in many ways. Psychologists aim to better understand the brain and help people cope with the things they are experiencing. However most benefits to society are dependent on the subdivision [8]. For example, clinical psychologists treat mental disorders most prominently, and forensic psychologists help with the legal aspects of psychology, such as serving as an expert witness in a courtroom or evaluating a defendant’s mental state at the time that a crime occurred. Careers in this field stem from one-on-one counselors, all the way to people organizing corporations for optimal productivity in the office. When phobias are involved, counselors and researchers will be the ones that are most involved. Counseling psychologists often work with clients with phobias, including entomophobia, or the fear of insects [5]. Researchers in the field of psychology perform studies and experiments that sometimes have to do with phobias and how they affect the people that have them.
