This year in math class, we will be using Concept Quests, a supplemental program consisting of challenging math tasks that align with our curriculum. Each of the seven Concept Quests units consists of 12 problem-solving tasks and puzzles, including:

• Six Excursions to apply and deepen students' understanding of essential unit concepts.

• Six Adventures to extend students' thinking and provide opportunities to make important mathematical connections. Adventures are often more challenging than Excursions.

Excursions and Adventures may be completed in any order, and at a student's own pace, but at least three Excursions must be completed before moving on to Adventures. Collaborating with others is encouraged, especially for particularly challenging tasks.

These tasks are not intended to be homework. Though your student may bring an Excursion or Adventure home to work on!
