All About Me

RCI is my home away from home. I have been at RCI for 20 years. I settled in the Madison area after graduating from UW-Madison, worked for an in-home Autism therapy company, and then returned to school at UW-Whitewater to pursue a masters in education. I knew Oregon School District was a special place back then, and it still is, which is why I'm still here!

I live in Stoughton with my family. I have 3 wonderful children, whom all attend school here in Oregon. My husband, Andy, is an organic vegetable farmer and chef who owns and operates our farm: Sprouting Acres. Andy's parents still live on the farm and help make it a magically, serene place. Our furry family includes 2 cats and 2 dogs.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy working on creative projects of all kinds. My favorite though is probably furniture- restoring or refurbishing it. I also love being outdoors, especially in Autumn. It is my favorite season. I love to hike and kayak. This summer I was able to visit my sister in Seattle. Traveling is so much fun; I'd like to do it more often.
